I am also having problems getting the fuel- temp gauges to work on my 67 dart. The temp will work intermittently and the fuel not at all. Feels like there are a couple loose pins on the back. Is there any way to move the plug,that sucker is a tight bend. If the pins are the issue does anyone make new boards for these or how do we repair them. Last why didn't chrysler corp give a complimentary pair of kevlar gloves for this,wow its killer schrapnel back there. Thanks again

I don’t know if you can see what I did to bypass a few of the detached pins that a sub harness connects feeding the temperature and fuel gage. What I did was solder a jumper onto the copper trace on circuit board, and using various colored wire with crimped eyes bypassed the pins secured directly to gage attachment bolts forming a homemade sub harness with a new six way connector to attach to the car’s harness. Using a new connector enables one to remove gage cluster for future repairs without having to cut any wires.



You also need to check continuity of conductors sending to fuel gage, and temperature sending unit as well.
If you test these gages remember if the gage cluster in not grounded, these gages will not work. In other words make a ground jumper if cluster is not installed in dash before testing.

Thanks wjajr for some reason the gauge gods have smiled on me and the fuel started working today after a Dr appt. I did absolutely nothing but start the car. It must approve of the 92 octane being fed is all I can think of. No questions on my side.

If you haven't done so yet, go ahead and get a solid state voltage regulator for cluster. The old mechanical ones will cook your gauges if they fail.
