Barry, I've answered this question for you all three times you've asked me via PM. The answer, all three times and this fourth time, is 10 lb·ft. Continuing to ask the question will not change the answer.

Barry; Apparently you don't wish to believe Dan. Perhaps you'll believe the factory and your own eyes. Clean up the intake, and read the torque specs cast right onto it. You'll find they tell you 10 lbs/ft.

Or is there some other problem you're having that you think will be cured by excessive torque?

OK....sorry to have "jumped" on you.
Let your buddy know that the low torque is to allow the manifold to stretch and shrink as it cools. If the manifold isn't alowed to grow, he will surely end up with a cracked exhaust, probably somewhere around the area of the exhaust outlet and #3 or #4 exhaust port. I've also seen more than one rearmost manifold stud broken off by the same overtorquing. You can check it out, but there's been many exhausts cracked due to overtorquing.

Oh, fer…! A pissing contest by proxy? No thanks, I'm busy being a grownup.

Whoever the idiot is who doesn't want to believe you -- that's his problem. If he likes his answer better than the right answer -- that (and the results) are his problem, too. Not yours, and certainly not mine.
