The linkage you have is only one piece of a multi-piece assembly. You cannot hope to repair your car without the factory service manual. |

Go to Mopar Manuals and order the FSM on CD. The big question is, what manual do you need to cover that carburetor. The FSM's that you will find on the site mentioned above will be for US spec cars. You will want the one that covers your year and model. It will cover others. Get the complete set. Body and Chassis. I'm not certain the carburetor you are installing will be included there. The kickdown linkage will be very similar though. The important bit is to get it adjusted correctly. Improper adjustment can result in transmission failure. Having installed many different carburetors on these transmissions, my kickdown of choice is the LOKAR cable system. It allows me to change from one carburetor to another, make my adjustments, and know it's going to work. I've installed them on BBD's, Holley two and four barrels, Carter's AFB's and soon I'll be working up Weber DCOE's for my wife's Dart. Patience is key here. You'll eventually get information about the carburetor Dan suggested, but I wouldn't know one if it fell on my head. I don't know that they were offered on US Spec cars of the era's I've owned. CJ |
