I can't seem to find aNY specifics on this swap and would enjoy hearing what parts and modifications were done to pull this off. I assume everyone is starting with an aluminum bell housing for ease of making mods. Please chime-in if you've done this swap and provide details as to what was involved.

Sam Powell wrote a long and detailed story about installing a T5 in his car. Do a search on his postings, I think he posted it withing the past year.

I have the t-5 to do this swap and the modified group buy aluminum Bell as well... Just havent dove into cutting up the floor to do this swap in my car.


When I do the swap I will make a detailed post documenting all the parts and pieces that I Use.

Thanks Greg. Can you elaborate on what the bell housing is that was involved in the group purchase? Is the a833OD bell housing not able to be used with modificationsor is there something specific about the one you have?

Many of the 5 speed swaps were done over 10 years ago. I for one cant remember 1/2 of what I did on mine.There are multiple threads on the specifics of these swaps. Your best and most accurate path is to search .

Thanks Sandy. I did that yesterday and found quite a bit of information but what is missing is information on specific brands of parts and part numbers;

1.) Bell Housing type and model #? (and what made the one you all used in a group buy the "One" to use)

2.) Clutch brand and P/N?

3.) If anyone is cycling their clutch arm with a hydraulic slave clinder it would be nice to get some information on this too.
