77 RAMCHARGER GAUGE CLUSTER QUESTIONS.
I am attempting to get all my gauges in my 77 Ramcharger working properly. I took out the cluster, cleaned it up and installed white face gauges and LED's into the main cluster. I cleaned it up as well as possible and am now trying to install the factory TACH, VOLTS and VACUUM gauges. The tach is on the right side of the cluster and the VOLTS -VACUUM is on the left wide.
The TACH is a factory tach for this slant six 4 speed vehicle. I have included pics. Since a lot of this wiring is messed up I need to know where to trace the wires to? I know one of them has to go to the coil? CORRECT? THERE ARE THREE WIRES. a GREEN ONE
WHITE WIRE- Which I believe is a ground will any ground source work?
BLACK WIRE- Where does this go?
All these wires go into a semi hacked harness, so I may just have to add new wiring to avoid issues.
Any idea which one and what the other one goes to? The orange and third wire is the lighting and is accounted for.
Now as for the VACUUM gauge. Its missing its VACUUM line so I am guessing I simply have to get a VACUUM line to it?
The VOLTS GAUGE. Where do these two wires go. One is black or dark in color and the other is white. Any suggestions are appreciated. Again this small cluster has an orange light wire which is accounted for.
