Post subject: | 77 Super Six Ramcharger Build. 4speed - Many Pics |
SLANSIX.ORG post on 77 RC. Thought you slanty guys may like to see my little project. Its an original 77 Ramcharger with a SUPERSIX slant six backed by a 4 speed. I bought it for $300 bucks a while back and it was cammo in color. Here is a pic of the cammo and a few pics of it now. The color was a mistake color by my local paint place for a 69 Roadrunner. Since they screwed it up, it was mine for free, thus the color choice. I used SEM for the interior to match the 08 DODGE RAM front seats and matched the 80s door panels in SEM , center console for the back (not pictured) and the rear ford seats. I leaned up the supersix a bit, rebuilt the carb and it runs fine. Im getting the interior finished up and am rebuilding the instrument cluster. Hope to make it a little commuter and leave the new HEMI RAM and the dually diesel sitting and save some mileage. What king of mileage do you think it will get. If interested in the whole build, here is a link http://ramchargercentral.com/rcs-tds-du ... -project!/ |

Very nicely done! Great work. MPG guess? A solid 15 mpg highway, if you keep your foot out of it, and upshift early and often. - Mac |

Very nice! A slant six Ramcharger is a rare beast indeed. A slant powered full time 4wd Ramcharger with a four speed manual transmission? I also predict it will get about 15 MPG highway. Report back your MPGs when you find out what they are. Your transmission probably has a granny gear and your axcles are probably geared very low. I suspect your rig will top out around 55-60 MPH on the highway. Did you ever get the choke and vacuum tap issues sorted out? Did you ever get the vacuum gauge working? |
