well yesterday i openedmy slant to be terrified by bent push rods, but it wasnt from the pistons hitting the valves. what i found out is the valves on 3 of the cylinders plus cylinder number 4 wasn't firing are stuck closed and it was only running on two yes i saidtwo cylinders, butwhen i pulled the head i found the cylinder walls to be perfect the engine doesnt even have a ring ridge i was shocked so im going to trow an overhaul kit in it get the head fixedby my dads friend, who will do it for next to nothingput it together and run it. im glad the motor isnt as badas i thought thisproves you cant kill a slant if it was only runningon two cylinder |

Make sure you clean out the fuel system. Old gas will foul the valve guides and cause the valves to stick, bending the pushrods. |
