Personally, I would like to see a glove box liner made from 1/8 inch plywood and lined with black gorilla fur.
Maybe I will build one for my brother's 74 Duster.

Hope everyone is well, I would like to know if anyone has a line to a good replacement for the Glove Box on a 71 Plymouth Duster, the one in mine is crumbling from age, as you would expect, have no idea what happened to the age of plastic, when you could just throw some cardboard off on in there!!!....???? Thanks for any help....J |

The hot ticket item is a '76 Dart/Valiant/Duster glovebox insert, which is moulded plastic instead of folded paperboard. If you can't find one of those, the cardboard variety can be had new from Gary Goers as part number GB-21. |

Chase's '74 Duster has the plastic liner.  I think the '75 "Ruster Duster" has cardboard though...

Thanks for the ideas, I figured Year One but they seem pricey to me, or at least for the stuff I have been needing in the past. The car, for those who have seen my past posts, is running fine, will make road trip to Dallas for work this sunday. This will be my first major road trip in the car. All the past problems are fixed. I will recommend ACC torque converters, the man there to talk to is Nelson he is a Mopar guy and helped me through the correct choice for my car. You can find ACC stuff on the KMJ website. I could use some tips on front end alignment if any one has suggestions. I had the car aligned but am having to take it back to the guy, because it continues to pull to the right. This was even after I supplied him with the specs! I am and have been a Chevy guy when it comes to front ends so any tips before I take the car back and what to look for would be very much appreciated. Have learned quite a lot from the people here on this site and am glad to have found such a unique forum for the kinds of cars we drive. Lastly my gas mileage on for road trips seems to be at or around 18 to 22 mpg, cant tell for sure until I do this next trip. Tips for upping the mpg ?? Thanks very much....John |

I forgot, Reed, thats a great idea, but gorillas are endangered, so lets go with something that wont offend, might could get alligator skin, pretty sure thats legal......suggestion on liners????? |

I didn't mean REAL gorilla fur, I meant the fabric you can get a a fabric store that is supposed to be fake animal fur. It has a 3-4 inch nap. You can get it in different colors and patters, including zebra, leopard, and tiger! See HERE. I would never advocate the skinning of gorillas, especially just to make a glove box liner. I do have some genuine snake skin shoes. I figured it was only fitting since I am a criminal defense attorney. |

I was just teasing ya man, alligator has got me thinking though, I will skip the fuzzy dice, for my skeleton man I have had since 05. It maybe time to move him to the Duster. |
