Hi, Changing jet sizes on the 350 holley. Currently running very rich at idle (have the wideband 02 sensor hooked up). Changed the PV from 6.5 - 8.5 The Jets were 61, and I'm about to swap in a pair of 58 sized jets. I haven't done this before is this considered a reasonable drop? Or should a lot lower say 50? and aim to move up (remembering that the 02 sensor shows off the scale richness [think it was 18 - 19....? not sure]) is 225, new ignition, new coil, new 2bbl 350 holley (modified 1bbl manifold), extractors with 3" exhaust. Apparently has had a port job... (what me mechanic said but I'm not sure). Cheers |

Rich at idle- you will have to adjust the idle screws or adjust the idle stop on the throttle plates, and if you really have to fine tune it you may need to get some pin drills from a hobby shop and drill your idle air bleeds in the carb horn.Changed the PV from 6.5 - 8.5 The Jets were 61, and I'm about to swap in a pair of 58 sized jets. Changing main jetting will change your fuel stoich when the mains come on line (i.e. driving steadily out on the highway). Changing from a 61 to a 58 is a fair drop, usually on a Holley you go down by 2 jet sizes that way if you over step you can back up by one... Changing the PV will change at what vacc reading the vavle will open and allow enrichement during heavy acceleration typically. -D.Idiot |
