I've acquired a spool K-frame and motor mounts, late LCA's, F-Body spindles. I plan to use FFI LCA's and am looking at a late model or FFI steering box. My 72 Swinger already has power steering. Do I need to change the column? I've seen both shaft length and diameter mentioned, but the info seems to conflict... |

You only have to worry about the length of the steering column if you are going from power steering to manual steering in which case you need another column or you will need the FFI adaptor. There is no "late" model steering box (my 1973, using a 1976 column, has a 1967 manual steering box...it all bolts together if using the 1967+ items...), I also bolted a 1976 K member into my 1967 and never had a problem with the column that way either... -D.Idiot |
