The threads in one of my BBS carbs are stripped by the brass inlet assembly.

At one time, parts stores had a replacement, which had a slightly larger diameter and would self-tap into the body.

Anyone know where to get one?

The repair fitting you have in mind was never available for the BBS -- it was available for the Rochester Thermoquad. Time to find another carburetor body to build up.

Thanks, Dan.

I did buy a Autoline rebuilt from Rock Auto. Figured I could rebuild it if necessary. (Knowing the bad reputation of store rebuilts.)

The problem there is that they use the same stock number for several years. First one I got was too early--no PCV connection (and I already had one of those).

Called Rock and they emailed a free return label to me.

Replacement was a 1964--Just what I needed. Surprise, it ran fine right from the start.

Both were quite clean with many new external parts.
