hi Barry here.i have this question going to Dan pm.still i needed to post this for others having this problem to finally get the answer they need.or maybe sombody just went through this can help us that are currently having this issue!..ok,here it goes."my 67 slant six 1bbl.is giving me fuel problems".fuel filter is full when i go to start it ,it will stay full as long as i dont drive it .the min i take it down the road and back.1/2 mile total..the fuel in the filter is half gone when icome back and park, .and while sitting there in idle,it keeps getting lower and lower till it s pretty much gone .i had a new pump on it and replaced it yest.w/another new one.still same results.i shut it off and a couple hours later the filter is full again.i repeat the same steps w/the same results everytime.anyone know whats up."i know Dan" will help me but, like i said this needs to be posted for others going through the same thing maybe sombodys been there and done this.!.im getting severly depressed.bad!!!sick of this crap.its been happening since i got the car.it drove fine bringing it home.and the next 3 days .i ran out of gas on the 3rd day but,since checked the tank for crud.nothing.the line is clear and free of debris.what the frick is going on here."ILL LET YOU GUYS KNOW WHEN THIS PROBLEMS FIXED"so other /6,er's having this trouble will be able to fix it, and continue on in life.driving our much loved slant 6,s thanks ,and God Bless to all.Barry |

Nothing's wrong. The filter's not supposed to stay full. |

All these worries would disappear if only there were a metal fuel filter installed. The car would be safer too. |

Thanks guys,i have the metal filter too.just was waiting till this fuel issue was resolved.and it is!!!thanks alot man you guys the best .God Bless you all.Barry. |
