well the other day my frankenstiened slant finally came to life. i overhauled the engine and cleaned out all of the sugar that was put into the crank case some how, how that happened is beyond me i bought the poor thing like that .the engine has 86,000 miles on it and as far as i know this is it second overhaul the previous one some one screwed it all up and the cam that was in it was junk, so i used a used cam out of my parts slant and the matched lifters and honed it and polished the crank, and to add to the frankenstienedness it has valves that are out of my other motor that i lapped in and an intake off a whole other motor. i have the timing set now all i have to do is set the valve lash and yes i have a FSM but for the 1970 model year instead of the 1969 model year but the specs should be the same id imagine. i just wanted to iguess brag about my first engine overhaul/rebuild and ask if the specs are the same in the 1970 FSM vs the 1969 FSM :D   8)

Nice job! It's a good thing anytime an engine fires up after being all apart... too many projects get stuck in the "all apart" stage!

No difference between '69 and 70 engines. At least, no difference of great significance.
