Is there a smaller stater that i can use on my slant six for more clearence for my headers?

Check the mini starter for the 1992 Dakota Pick-up with a 5.2L engine. That may work. You might want to PM SL6Dan......I am not sure if the early 90's V6 starter is the same or not.
