some time ago I picked up a nearly complete 8.75 "A" rear end
I knew when I got it that a few of the drum brake parts were awol.

the drums are the bell shaped ones and measure 10 inched diameter.

what is missing is
1) the dogbone spreader that sets just below the wheel cylinder and fits between the shoes,, and I think there is normally a small oval spring on one end.
2) the emergency brake connector that goes from the e brake cable to the rear shoe
3) the little adjuster flap and spring retainer that runs from item 2 to the adjuster spreader
4) the cable - wire that goes from item 2 to the top brake shoe retainer.

question:
will the parts from a 7.25 drum brake set fit? (9 inch drums ?)
if not I see several 8.25 rear ends at the pull a part, (are those 10.75 inch drums?) will those parts fit?
if not, any good sources for these parts?

or if I see an 8.25 with 10.75 diameter drums,, and the equilevent of the A body LBP,, can I fit that to the 8.75,,, or will that limit me down the road on rim choices?
thanks

If you are 10" drums an LBP, you can pick from any 10" brake LBP late mopar for hardware...in some cases (such as springs, but not levers or brake items) you can also pillage off of the rear drum equipped Jeep Cherokees...If LBP and 11" drums you will be looking at pretty much anything B/C body (60's you will have to see what the brake pad width is) , and some F body, most M/J body. You can get lots of rims junkyard or Craiglist for LBP (3 years ago I score a set of aluminum Centerlines- 2-15x8, and 2-15x10 for $100...previous owner used them on his 70's road runner)

You won't be able to use some of the parts from the 10" to 11" or vice/versa due to the length of the speader/e-brake lever and anti rattle springs.

Not much from the 9" drums will fit the above except for E-brake cables, and the shoe pins and springs...

the 10 inch drums on the 8.75 are SBP,, as things move along I intend to change it to LBP axels / drums.

I don't think that changes anything from the info provided by DI,, so thanks..

any idea what late model mopar has 10 inch rear drums,, are we talking 90's mini vans or sebrings?
