Sounds like forged crank bearings in a cast crank engine. Vote #2 for a photo. DD |

He did have pics over at FABO but they are gone now. It did look, to me, like a cast crank block with forged main bearings. |

Yes... you are showing a forged crank main bearing insert. (2 oil feed holes) Go get a set of mains for a 76 and newer SL6, that should fix it. (also check your con rod bearings... those are also different for the cast crank engine) DD On ebag |

ordered some new bearings and the block does have two oil passages thax for the help |
