So I am wondering if there is anything I can do or be done to Improve my MPG a little more.

Im getting anywhere from 15-17mpg. I don't know how good or bad that is as far as the slant 6 goes.

Thanks

What kind of vehicle is it in? What transmission? What kind of driving do you do? Have you tuned it up lately? What fuel are you running? How many miles are on it? Please give us a little more information.

66 Plymouth Valiant 2door. Slant 6 225, 3 speed
Is this the vehicle?
If so... a "3 speed" stick shift?

A top notch tune-up, including a valve adjustment is a first step.
Figure-out the rear end gear ratio.
Put tire inflation on the "max psi" called-out on the tire.
Lean-out the carb.
Improve the exhaust system.

I know of a similar subject vehicle that after similar tuning and some distributor supertuning was able to get 25-28 mpg (28 if all highway with no stops...), in town mixed driving was closer to the 15-17.

That would be the vehicle, yes a 3 speed stick shift.
As far as gear ratio go I have no idea how to find that out.
I have done a valve adjustment on it, I know it had a new timing chain and stuff put it recently before I go the vehicle. I rebuilt the carb. It has new plugs, new points and condenser.

I may need some more help on carb adjustment. and on what can be done for the exhaust system. And whatever else may help me out

Nuttyprof,
As far as the transmission goes as far as I know its the original one that came on the car, I drive it back and forth to work about 60 miles round trip, running regular fuel and miles the odometer reads 6106(6)
