Hey guys, new here and new to slant sixes. Just bought my first leaning tower of power and want it to go better. It currently bone stock with a 1 barrel and I'm wanting to turbo it. I've seen some places people recommending a turbo from an 80's mopar 2.2. All I want to change is the exhaust and intake. thought about just running the 1 barrle with the turbo or swapping to a 2 with a super six setup and the turbo. What are your guys thoughts. I dont want to do anything internal, it has 140k on it and i need it stay a driver. Bryon |

I have made 330+ HP (crank) and run over 100 MPH in a 3500 lb car on 9.5 psi with a 165k mile bottom end, rebuilt to stock 0.030" over specs in 1989 (cast pistons, stock rods). So far one blown head gasket (greedy tuning) and no other damage. I am working on a new short block, though, to pick up more power. It can be done, but your mileage may vary... Lou |

thanks for the info guys. didnt even see the turbo section, must've glanced right past it. good to hear higher milage slants can handle a little power, I've heard they are tough little power plants. |
