Post subject:  front suspension interchange for my 72 ( the torsion keys )

hey guys - i have a 72 plymouth valiant 4 door l6 auto.
currently my car has some strangely setup suspension on the front using hydraulic cylinders and coil over springs - to suspend the weight of the car.

i dont like it and want to swap back to the torsion keys.
currently - the torson bars installed as they keep the lower control arm in place - but someone has taken out the keys and the screws that ajusts up to the arm on the key - and i have none of those parts to re install so i have to hunt them down.

what other years and models of car from x to y will allow me to simply un bolt the parts from the donor car in a scrap yard - and allow me to install the parts on my car with little to no custom fabrication work ?

i believe there is a 65 plymouth valiant in a parts yard about 50 miles north of me. if that car has the parts - should they bolt right up ?

Post subject:  All A-body...

You can get the lower control arm toggles and bolts, along with the LCA stud nuts off of any A-body regardless of year...

That being said, since you have a 1972...while crawling around underneath junkyard cars, you might score a set of torsion bars from a 1973-1976 car if available since these years the /6 bars are the bigger size V-8 bars from your era car(1967-1972)...if you happen to find a 1973+ that has a 318 w/ A/C that car will have the even thicker 340/360 bars which is an upgrade for all slant cars.

Good Hunting,
