The windshield in my Dart is original, pitted and tired. I did snag a clean one from a junkyard years ago but it has the blue tint across the top - which will work but not what I'm really after. I would like to get my hands on a non-tinted one, like the original.

Searching the web has been fruitless, lots of companies want to replace it for me but I just want the glass, I'll install it myself.

Anyone have any tips on locating a replacement windshield without the tint and installation service? I expect I might need to purchase one through a local glass shop, suspect PPG or other sources will not sell directly to an individual. I live in San Jose, CA - good glass shop recommendations might be a good place to start?

Any tips or thoughts would be helpful.
