Hey all, does anyone here know where to get stiffer torsion bars for cheap-ish? I was looking on summit for my B-Body, but the cheapest I could find was $299.99. I was thinking of getting them out of a v8 car, but which one should I look for? The thicker the better. Thanks, Ryan |

Big block car is the 1st choice. Cop Car is the 2nd choice. You are running a B-body so you are looking for some 1962-1979 grocery getters...tough to find the 60's cars because of the need for the muscle car guys, but you may have better luck spotting a 400 big block equipped Cordoba, etc.. from 1975-1979. -D.Idiot |

I think the bars from 1973 up are longer for a B body |

Forgot about the 1973 up isolators and the longer torsion bars, so he's limited up to 1972 on B-bodies, and all 1970-1974 E-bodies, that will make thing harder to find on the cheap since most junkyards consider those era parts to be "muscle car gold".-D.Idiot |

Second what zorg said. The one-inch bars aren't too stiff for the slants. |
