While letting my car warm up last night, no lights on the ammeter dropped to D side and car shutdown. Starter spins over but motor will not crank? Is my voltage regulator bad? I recently put a new alternator on to replace my old one the bearing was failing on its a sixty amp one from Rock auto........ |

If the starter motor is running and not cranking the motor over, I would say the starter is bad, if the motor is cranking over and will not start check for spark from coil if no spark you probably have a electrical problem what kind of car- truck you got |

Its a 1964 Dodge Dart 225 slant three speed manual transmission. Got it started but it has a slight spit to it and the ammeter jumps a little .....thanks for the reply... |
