I would think a stock iron manifold looks more effecient. That guy in Tampa needs to start making them! The guy with the 74 Duster with the turbo. |

its the same basic design of the stock manifold, minus the heater box and the outlet goes our the side rather than the bottom, -Mike |

few quick up dates, should have went with the 45 degree bends instead of the 90's, and should have got a section of 4' 1 1/2" sch 40 pipe, but live and learn we will see how manifold numero doce turns out the reason for the 45deg bends it hits the block, but cut a slight angle into it and shell be good to go ![]() ![]() not bad for my marginal welding skills and my harbor freight mig 151 230v 120amp beasty, currently running flux core, but not welds as long as i keep the joints tight lol ![]() couple bugger boo's but nothing a grinder can't fix ![]() and just goofing around metal hand !!!! ![]() -Mike |

make sure if you cut that angle into the pipes that it still clears the the intake you are going to use. nice welds for flux core. i love the metal hand, had me laughing for a couple minutes. |

Post subject: | Details! |
Love that you started this as I have read almost every page I can on here and FABO dealing with turbo /6 setups. This one Ill watch closely as I too have a Holset in the garage. Its a wh1c that is basically an hx-35 so I am curious as to the finer details as to the fuel setup but more along the lines of boost and when it comes on. say 2500 rpm 2psi and full 10# by 3500rpm etc. This I would say detail in all ways so that it can be added to the FAQ builds. So keep up the good work and keep us posted. |

Got a bit more welded up, measure, eyball, cut, tack weld, hammer, tack weld, hammer lol ![]() ![]() ran out of welding wire have to pick some more up in about 7 hours lol till then sleep !!!!!!!!!! I chose the HX-35W because of the internal gate, and the fact it is setup from factory to run 20ish lbs of boost with the stock waste gate actuator ![]() -Mike |

looking good. one question, are you using the manifold itself to support the turbo or are you going to make a bracket to support it? |

i have 2 brackets welded to the manifold that bolt to the engine mount, not really to happy with it considering how much heat will be transmitted to the polyurethane in the mount, still need to finish hooking up the oil line, and waiting on parts for boost, -Mike |

RE: "the OCG 270in 280ex 112deg LSA turbo cam and lifters (still need installed) $160.25." Can you elaborate on the specs of that cam, please. I want to make sure I have correct information before I comment. Thanks, Bill |
