We made some Hyper-Paks manifolds, back in the mid 1990's.

Here's a 1 barrel I modified for a 2 barrel. Don't know why the pics are so dang big. Click on "Super Six Conversion Stromberg" under my signature for more.

61 V200, that's what I want! I'm tryin to buy a aluminum super six manifold at the moment but if I can't get that one I wanna modify a 1bbl like that! You wouldn't happen to have plans/drawings/instruction or a build thread for it would you?

No plans, no drawings just a "seat of the pants" approach. Somewhere there is an article about how to modify a barrel using screws and epoxy. Check the articles section or maybe someone will post a link.
I took a little different approach.

First thing was to make an adapter plate. I just took a 2 barrel gasket and some 1/2" plate and went at it. Then I clamped up a 1 barrel intake on the mill and used a fly cutter to take the one barrel mount down flush with the top of the intake plenum. I used a Heli Arc to burn the plate to the cast intake with no problem and that was it.

Notice the adapter allows for the carb to sit parallel with the intake runners as opposed to a stock 2 barrel which runs perpendicular. The jury is still out on whether or not this promotes better distribution of the fuel through the runners. I went that route because I have a solid throttle linkage set-up. You can see that in the link under my signature.

Just a few things to keep in mind.
1. You will notice the mounting surface for the carb does not sit level with the runners. This is because the intake does not sit level in the car so the angle compensates to keep the carb level. This is important to know when you clamp the intake to the mill. (I've heard of guys actually and successfully using a grinder to knock the 1 barrel mount off. Might want to have a few extra intakes to practice on. They are cheap and easy to find.)

2. Keep a handle on the finished height of your setup which will be determined by the thickness of your 2 barrel adapter, what type of carb you are using and also your air cleaner set-up. I got lucky with the 1/2 inch plate, Stromberg ww-275 and a Super Six air cleaner. Sure would suck to have to cut a hole in the hood to let the air cleaner stick out

Good luck! And keep us informed on your progress.

I made a plate to mount a Holley 2300 series carb on a modified 1bbl manifold.
