OK.....is there any instructions anywhere of how EXACTLY this is supposed to be on? I had one leak that I put on Jessicas car a few months ago.I chauled it up to being an inferior part.Just bought one from Detroit gaskets, so just wanting to make sure its done right for sure.LOL.

That seal should have a deep groove around the outside. You want the seal placed into the hole in the tank with the tank metal inserted in that groove and the thick side of the seal up.
Then the filler tube goes through the seal. Don't use RTV or any sealer on the seal or filler tube, 'cause gas eats that stuff and it clogs your fuel filter.
A little silicone grease to lube the grommet and filler tube is OK.

Go ahead and save that weird car, the sedan, the 6 cylinder, the C-Body. If you want a big block musclecar and that's all you care about, your missing the point.
