I'm almost there. I installed the Denso 211-0121 and the VR. All is wired except the 10 gauge fused hot wires. I think I misunderstood this step as I was going to hook them to the battery. That would bypass my new voltage gauge? I sure don't want to splice into the original bulkhead connection. What is the safest and cleanest way to connect? Cheers, Barnaby |

I finished that step a few weeks ago, but still running the stock alternator. My Denso was just rebuilt but need to modify the alternator mount. The two ten gauge wires with circuit beakers are hooked up. You run them straight from the alternator to the battery in front of the radiator bulkhead. Your volt meter will register just fine. Don't worry. The amp meter will not...... Click on the link to view pictures. |

Nice work! I finished the install today. I think? Since I relocated the battery to trunk via 1 ought welding cable I spliced in at the starter. Very tight fit and will have to shield before any serious driving. Dual Dutra Duals... I want to reinstall my fuel maps before I turn her over. Possible corrupted files due to inconsistent voltage. Done and Done! The car started immediately and it sounds beautiful and that was before I timed the new distributor. Thanks D.I. Grounds, grounds and more grounds and lots of Forum tech. Once again, sufficient voltage and amperage with cleaned and improved connections made the software work as it should. I am really stoked right now! Barnaby |
