So I have a 1969 dodge dart it's got rite now a slant six 225 that recently got a problem with the Barrings it had a oil leak n they I gyes froze it still runs ! But I'm in a confused position rite now I don't know if I should fix it first or leave as is and do the body work thn get to the engine part I do have plans of putting a 360 in it so should I just leave the engine like that and put it on a crate and just rebuild it myself as a hobby when I have spare time just for the heck of it any advice help plzz gyes tnks for anytng:D

I vote rebuild it in your spare time as a hobby. :lol:

What was the question? Heck yes! If your going to the trouble of dropping a 360 in a slant car, make it look good. Why not?

Better yet, go buy a car that already has a 360 in it. That will be cheaper. Really.

I just can't find any cars that go cheap besides its more the sental mental value being it was my first car given as a gift what lead me to a dream of going to college after highschool to be a mechanic I have the hots for classic cars MOPAR! All the way!! My question was shld I look for the 360 first and were can I find one? Cuz I dnt no were to go for the engine and tranny cheap and should I do that first or the body work the slant six oh I have memories with that little power machine I'm going to rebuild it for sure! As a hobby;)

The question is do you want a nice looking ornament or a running car? I say stick with the six, rebuild it and get it mechanically sound, safe with good brakes, and take care of any electrical gremlins and leave the looks for last.

A high performance Slant 6 can run really well and will get you 10 times the looks and comments of a 360. Everyone has a V-8.
