I recently purchased a 1968 Plymouth Valiant with a 225 Slant 6. I am looking for performance parts, oem parts and rebuild tips. Hey just trying to learn from others mistakes and headaches. Thanks Brian |

Welcome! You mention rebuild. Is something worn or damaged? What specifically do you want to do with the car? Check the Engine build matrix in the FAQ. Also click on the home button, then go to Articles. Lots of good info there! Once you clarify your budget and expectations, there will be folks that can suggest mods. Make sure to use the search function too. There are years of threads full of data and experience here. CJ |

Welcome, brainspeed. You've come to the right place for all sorts of tips, experience, and the occasional silly a$$ opinion. Like ceej said, check out the articles and archives, the engine building matrix and use the search feature to follow up on topics that interest you. After a bit of that, you'll have a better idea what you want and how we can help. If you let someone simply tell you how to build a /6, chances are it won't be the engine you really want. Use the forum resources, there are probably well over a hundred years of experience here. BC |
