Thanks for quick response, I think I figured it out, not sure what the top (square) hole is for (on brket) But I want to keep pretty original so if u take pic take one how fuel line runs from carb to fuel pump, thanks Dana

Square hole is for tightening thebelt. A 1/2 inch ratchet goes in the hole.

Fuel line routing depends on vehicle. What make and model are you working on?

Reed, only thing I am trying to do is keep motor original, thanks? Seems like it should come off ruel pump under coil over to wp then over to carb.

Like I said, the original fuel line routing varies depending on the model of vehicle. Mainly car vs. truck or van. What are you working on?

Well, I am not sure why you are being so cryptic, but on a car the fuel line usually runs from the outlet n the pump towards the front of the motor, then up over the timing chain cover to a retainer on one of the top bolts of the water pump, then it bends up and over the exhaust and intake manifolds to attach to the carb. However, there are benefits to abandoning the factory routing method ad running it up over the top of the valve cover. Do a search on this site for "fuel line mod." It is interesting to note that by the 80s slant six powered trucks and vans were running the stock fuel line up and over the valve cover, as is recommended in the fuel line mod.
