I have a 71 slant six duster and I am in the middle of conversion to supersix. I bought a supersix air cleaner with the front lower pan notched out & I am wondering why I am having trouble with the a/c lines in the way. Is there a different a/c compressor for supersix? or a different lo side hose? I hope someonecan help me figured this out. thanks |

Can you post a picture of what you have? You should be able to rotated the assembly out of they way from the compressor. I used to have a 77 Volare with air conditioning and don't remember there being a problem with hoses. |

there must be a different low side hose , because the muffler (3" can ) attached to the hose is lined up where the air cleaner goes. I will take a pic later. On my way to Englishtown swap meet. |

What vehicle are you working on? Here is a picture of a Super Six air cleaner installed with A/C on a Volare: It is a bit of a tight fit, but doable. |

I had a very similar issue when I did the conversion with my 76 aspen. My ac didn't work so I removed the compressor. I think your best option will be an aftermarket air filter set up if yours is as tight as mine was (in order to keep your ac). Aspen76 |
