Post subject:  1968 Valiant replacement windshield

Has anyone on this board found a good place to find a replacement front windshield for a 1968 Valiant 2 door sedan? I don't know if it's easy to find one or if it is next to impossible to find. Any advice would be great, I'm getting tired of wet floors and using the braille method of driving at night.
Thanks

If you want a tinted windshield you may be able to just get one from an auto glass place in your area. Usually they include install in the price, but if you are doing it yourself, you could save about $40.

Killin5 thanks for the vendor information, I will give them a try. They are located in Iowa which is not far for me so that is a plus.

By the way, is it hard to install a windshield in these old Mopar A bodies or is it pretty straight forward ? For $40.00, a professional installation might be cheaper than my hands on "education" cost if you know what I mean.

I've done several windshield replacements on early and middle period A-bodies. It gets easier with practice, but nothing can replace a nice hot sunny day for softening the rubber gasket. If you attempt it yourself, be prepared to clean the mounting flange of the window surround...rust is often seen in this area. Also, buget some time for cleaning your gasket (unless you plan on buying a new one), this can be a chore. Use a job rated windshield sealant when re-installing, I like Sikaflex. By the way, this is a two-person operation! I like doing this myself so that I can attend to any leaks or possible rust, but if this is not a concern $40, heck
$80 sounds like a pretty good deal!
