Very nice work. Always happy to see another early van out there driving around.

That's too cool! I like it! Always wanted to do a "fun" project like that, used to watch that show when I was a kid.

:D

Big Thumbs Up!

Thanks guys. I am still working on the interior. Bought this jewel for a grand, replaced fuel pump and water pump, set the points and she fired right up.

Before you do too much else I strongly recommend you upgrade the brake master cylinder from the old single chamber designed to the newer and much safer dual chamber design.

That the 1967+ Cars, Vans and "W" model trucks got the dualpot master cylinders and the "D" (2WD) trucks still were equipped with singles until 1968? (Of course like drum brakes in '76 which was a tween year, 1967 probably had a few go down the line early in the run with single pot.)

Oh! I thought it was a hard and fast rule that 68s got the dual chamber and 67s didn't. Guess I was wrong on that. Whoops.

I did mention that she fired right up with some minor parts replaced but before I could take her down the road, she got a whole brakes overhaul. The master cylinder was shot and had to be replaced as well as brake lines and the brake cylinders. I believe this one has the two stage master cylinder but I was not sure when they went from one stage to the two. Thanks for the info. I would like to think about going from drums to disk one day. I have seen this upgrade in other posts.

My wife wasn't sold on the idea, but after it was done, she loves it. She drove it to her school, where she works as the grade school librarian, and the bus drivers jokingly complained saying that the bus nearly tipped over with all the kids running to that side of the bus to see the van.
