My mains are .002........is this ok? what should rod bearings be? |

mains should be .0005 to .002 if forged crank... I would not want them to be on the edge of the loose side. rod bearings if a forged crank would be .0005 to .0025...again I would not want to be on the end of the loose goal post. |

See if you can switch around the non-thrust shells and get a different number. Do you have a ball-end micrometer (or a ball bearing of known diameter and a piece of vacuum hose)? Measure all the shell thicknesses, then measure the journals and the main bearing bores. Swap parts around to get the most even spread of clearances. I personally would be fine with those numbers if it is a used (not reground) crank. |
