Post subject:  new engine running!

After a motor transplant with a super six conversion, lean burn delete, and GM HEI conversion, she is finally running. I had a few setbacks due to a 0 compression issue. After getting some info from the board and doing my own research, I found the engine to be a 79/80 not an 81 like I had believed. I adjusted the valves and checked for TDC and found the dizzy was about 45deg off. After setting it right, the engine fired right up. I ran the cam in according to instructions from the board, and it was running perfect. Started it up the next day and the valves definately needed to be set right. I did so per the valve adjustment procedure, and it purred like a kitten.

Today I have a stumble when I give it some gas so I'm suspecting the BBD is out of whack, so that will be the next task on the list.

The truck has been off the road since the end of March when I started this project so I fear the gas might be going bad as well.

I appreciate all of the advice and posts by all of you on the board-thanks
