Super six conversion; Carter BBD. Had it running last summer. Start with the idle screws backed out 2.5 turns then slowly kept backing them out until I got it idling alright. Sat for not even two months before trying to start and it would not. Won't start ever since. Some fuel seems to be leaking on the intake. I checked the nuts holding the carb to the intake and they seemed a little loose. Tightened. Carb is getting fuel. Engine is getting fuel when I pull on the throttle. Not sure if the choke is adjusted correctly. I've got an old chilton book with adjustment info for the BBD. Just don't get it. I can't figure out what is wrong. The fuel in the tank is at least a few years old. Also fuel leaking around the top plate of the carb in front. |

put the wire coming off the ignition coil to metal and cranked. No spark. All the wires seem fine from inspection and the cap and rotor have been replaced. |
