In theory I have working speedo now, however looks like I got the wrong cable. I appear to have upper and lower with a canister in the middle, so my cable is a bit long at the moment. Appears as tho the canister and lower cable are already hooked up. Upper was all that was missing. Won't know if it is working for sure till I get the distributer and everything back in, which the new vacuum advance pod isn't here till monday.
The reason I didn't see that hole before.. The old speedo cable was still there, but it was in fact cut almost immediately behind the wall and it was just the outer tube. So hole looked used. She sure has lots of "character".
