Hey fellas

Recently pulled apart my 225 motor to replace a few gaskets to 'fix' some pile leaks. Anyway on the engines maiden voyage she was leaking a decent amount of oil between the head and the block!

Now that I look back I realized I forgot to apply any sealant to the headgasket!

It only has about an hours worth of driving on it. So if I pull the head off clean it all up surely it would be alright to re use?

Thanks guys

OK, well, I might consider reusing a near new steel shim head gasket if I was really bust out broke and my dog's life depended on it. Then I would get the mating surfaces and the gasket clean enough to be in surgery and liberally spray both sides of the head gasket with spray Permatex HiTemp Spray Copper and say a prayer.
