To start this thread is to get my 10 year old grandson Max a break from computer games. We pulled an engine out of my storage shed to see what we had. It had been there for over 2 years.
Got it on the test stand, set the lash at 14 Int 24 Exh, compression test cold 70,75,65,70,85,75, Added couple of table spoons of oil 140,130,122, 125, 135, 130,
Changed the plugs, wires, and distributor with known good stuff.
This thing started right up to our amazement, idled down to about 750 rpm with no misses or strange noises.
Now the down side, after the smoke cleared I noticed that I was getting air bubbles in the radiator when I revved it up around 2500 rpm, back at idle I can not see any.
Ran 90psi of air into every cylinder with no luck locating what cylinder may be leaking.
The up side, after 2.5 hours the grandson still isn`t bored!

Could it just be a pocket of air in the channels somewhere?

Thanks Olaf, I think you were right on your reply. I had a chance to run it for about 20 min this evening from idle (750rpm) to (2500) . Looks like it cleared up the air bubbles.
