Thanks. Stopped into a local auto supply and they pointed me to the right one: common I guess. You're right: it's called a "Heater Hose Fitting", and unless I totally missed it, the FSM and parts book doesn't even mention it. For a 5/8 hose and it's 1 5/8"L, 3/8" NPT thread. |

Finding the replacement is easy - getting the old one out whole so that you may fit the replacement may make you wish you would have just left it there as is. |

Last I remember looking at those things at parts stores, they were steel / iron just like the head, not brass like most other fittings. I was thinking about replacing mine because it looked pretty crummy when I was going through the motor but realized the old one still sealed so I left well enough alone. If you are going to replace it, do yourself a favor and find a brass one. Check here. |
