The magneto is getting set up for the new rail. Based on what we are doing, the mag shop wants a Bronze gear to put on it. (It's going to have a pretty high load on it.)

Anybody got a source for this gear?

The Aussies have one for their Bosch distributor.

They also have a steel gear, but don't specify which distributor it fits.

Since these are made to mesh with slant six cams I would expect you could make one work with your magneto. Too bad you can't drive the mag off the cam.

Thanks Josh!

Dan steered me to the modification thread for the bronze gear.

Contacted Spud. For the application he suggested steel would be the preferred material.

Will it accept a standard Slant gear Ceej?

If so I have an iron one in the box at my shop.

I'm not sure. It should be 0.500" shaft size. If you have an iron distributor gear, I don't know why it wouldn't.
