I'm developing a small leak at #1 on the sport fury so I asked at my parts house today if they could get remflex. They'd never heard of them. I 'googled it' and found this link and seemed like a low price. I'm trying to attach the link but if it doesn't work, maybe it can be cut & paste.

Sorry that was the one I didn't order here is correct link.

By the time you add shipping, you'll save a couple bucks buying it at Amazon:

I just got one at my local NAPA a month or so ago. Works great!

Has there ever been a GROUP BUY on Remflex Gaskets on the Slant 6 forum?

I don't suggest buying from FCRC Machine (the retailer in the sears link) - the lower price attracted me as well several months ago. Turns out they don't stock them. They had to order from remflex, ship it to themselves, then to me, which took forever. Could have changed by now, but be forewarned.

No, because they are so readily available. You can even order direct from them. They provide great support!

Ryan bought 10 or 12 of them direct from Remflex. If you buy a minimum of 5 they sold them for $38(If my memory is correct) and free shipping. Anyone can do this if you can move 5 gaskets. They were very nice people to work with too.

My NAPA was the one that hadn't heard of them so that's why I went on line. I received a USPS tracking number & shows it to be delivered Saturday so it appears I won't have a delay. I wanted to use one of these as a lot of folks on here were recommending them when I was on the site last year. Don't know why mine developed a tiny leak suddenly after more than a year of use but this should fix it! Thank you.

These slant six manifolds move a lot from thermal expansion. Every time that exhaust manifold goes through a heat cycle the thing grows a wee bit, than shrinks back. If manifold is warped, and or not torqued correctly, and or the little triangles and other special attachment gismos are not in their proper place and orientation one will eventually have problems with leaks.

The Remflex is thick and forgiving of some manifold warping to a point, and will seal if one follows their and Chrysler’s installation sequence. I finally went to a Remflex gasket and it cured my sealing problem with Clifford Headers & manifold.

Take the time to install new studs and use new brass nuts if the old studs & nuts are degraded and won’t thread on with consistent torque. It is imposable to get a consistent torque on each nut if some of them stick, or are sloppy.

Received my gasket, darn quick for $6.00 in postage. I do have a question on the washers though. This is the only slant 6 I every built and I tore 5 of them apart to get all the good pieces I needed. I noticed the conical washers on the end were mounted two different ways. A couple had the cone against the manifold, a couple had the flat against the manifold. Which way is correct? Thank you!
