Ok, now that I know how to remove the plug on my 7 1/4, I can see is missing oil. Which oil should I use?. It is a non-locking one (I lifted it and move one wheel, the other remained in position. When I engaged a speed (engine shut), and moved one by hand the other rotated in opposite direction). I fear using GL-5, as I don't know if there are brass parts that can get damaged... but it looks that the standard auto stores only have that one. Any recommendation? (I guess MIL-L-2105B oil standard and Chrysler P/N 2585317 (as the Service Manual reccomend) are too old for anybody to remember...)

There's no brass parts in a open diff, so GL-5 is what you want to use.
