Does anyone know if my '64 Dart has to have a vented cap? I have a locking cap that is not vented and I was having fuel problems.
Also, I can't find a stock cap at the parts store.Only 60-62 and 67 and up. No 64 !!!

The cap does not have to be vented. There is a small pipe connected to the fill tube by a rubber hose that vents the tank.
Also, I can't find a stock cap at the parts store.Only 60-62 and 67 and up. No 64 !!! |

By the way, check that vent line connection now and then. If it gets disconned, you'll get gas in your trunk, where you definitely don't want it ...
