has anyone found a flat black paint that stays black and does not turn grey after a while. ive tried a couple different brands and have yet to find something that looks like it did when first painted.

I think SEM brand paint makes a flat black paint that does not require a clear coat. Does your's have a clear coat over it? I would recommend getting a dual action polisher and using a mild polishing compound on it. Then maybe a coat of wax.

My two cents.

SEM bumper coat works well, and stays black. Body shop painted my hood which is flat black and has stayed black.
