Post subject:  Source for Park Lock Cable?

My original 63 Dart park lock cable, though the cable functions perfectly, has had the rubber sheath damaged and it was leaking fluid.

Dan Stern made an excellent repair suggestion which I've tried but so far, it keeps leaking and next step is to actually remove the cable from the car to make the repair instead of trying to repair it while it's installed.

If this fails, I'll need a new cable since I'm not going to allow it to keep leaking. All I've found is an NOS cable for $180, and new reproduction cables for $250. Pricey, especially to stop a leak for a cable that still works perfectly.

Any other known sources for quality cables at a better price? I have searched but have not located any.

Control Cables in Santa Fe Springs can do it, or at least they could 10 years ago when I had them make some for my old Dart.

On mine they needed the old ends.

I think it was close to $200 though, but it has been many years and I could be wrong.
