Thanks once again Reed. The 83 van has been running pretty good the last couple of months, but I suddenly have some carb issues. It has a stumble and spudders at low speeds- Im thinking about going to a one barrel for I cant get better then 10 mpg |

Yep, vans get in the 10-13 MPG range. It takes some serious tuning and careful driving to get better than that. Make sure the carb is adjusted correctly, make sure you have no vacuum leaks, play with your timing curve, never go over 55 MPH, run as lightweight as possible, and install a vacuum gauge and drive to maximize vacuum. |
