Post subject:  Where to source original rubber/vinyl flooring?

Probably should have posted this under "parts wanted" but it's not quite that.

I'm trying to source the original pattern rubber (or vinyl - can't tell which) flooring for my 63 Dart 170 wagon.

The original floor exists intact from the 1/2 way point underneath the front seat back. I need to replace everything forward.

Can someone point me to a place that reproduces this? My car is blue, which means the rubber/vinyl flooring is blue and I want the same thing.

Thanks for the help.

Would this help??

You said "original flooring". Does/did it have full coverage rubber (or plastic) mats My '64 170 is in storage and I don't remember the flooring at all.
The 170 was the "base" or low line car. Did they have full rubber (or plastic) floor coverage instead of carpet??

No unfortunately, I understand that flooring is not correct.

The flooring in the car would have been a full vinyl/rubber floor, instead of carpet. Anyone know if the material for base models was actually rubber, or was it vinyl?

The remaining vinyl flooring in my car is a dark blue, matching the original medium blue of the car and certainly looks as though it were originally in the car. However, I'm informed it must not be original because the original floor would have been black, and black only, so maybe at a certain point the black rubber floor was replaced.

Every rubber floor covering car I have ever seen (not many) has been black rubber. This sounds like a question for a parts manual or dealer option manual.

Replacement? Good luck!

Here's a start for you

I would advise not to use the mat since it's a huge harborer of rust but you should be fine as long as you don't have any water leaks.

Well. I'll be darned! Maybe a call to Year One would lead you to their source. From there, you might find a blue one. Good luck!

This may be wishing for the world, but the blue vinyl floor that's there has a moulded 'square' for where rear-seat passenger's feet would go. The front should have the same thing.

I was hoping I could find that, to match what's on the back.

I remember, when I had my 64 Dart 270, the loop carpet had a similar square of moulded vinyl where the driver's feet would go, under the accelerator, and brake pedal, with the rest being completely carpet.
