:D Metuchen New Jersey is starting up its 'Summer Cruise Night' series in May 2003 of this year. The 'Cruise Night' is on the first Wednesday of each month (sorry no rain dates). The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Trophies given out at the end of the evening to the cars the Sponsors liked best. There's plenty of places to eat, and there is also live a 'D.J.' playing a wide variety of music all evening. The event is easy to get to, in that Main St. runs right into Rt. 27, and Rt 27 can be easily accessed from the Garden State Parkway, or Rt 287. Main St. also runs into Rt 1 North and South.

Okay, now this isn't a 'Slant-Six' only event, but it would be nice if we could make a nice showing of 'Slant-Six' powered vehicles at this 'Cruise Night. You can get a bit more info on it by going to the 'Metuchen Chamber of Commerce' Website

Sounds interesting to me, but it is a little too far to travel on a week night (I'm a full-time student, and I don't get home from class until 5pm).

I'm about 60 miles or so away.

:P Nice car, too bad you don't live closer, but maybe you could make it to the 'NY/NJ Slant-Six Club of America' 'Picnic/Meet' on October 12, 2003. The Online Flyer can be found linked off of the Club Website,(http://clubs.hemmings.com/nynjslant6), on the 'Events' page of the site. It's not a huge event, but we do manage to have fun

Well, no matter, spread the word about the 'Cruise Night' too, I would like to see if we could manage to have a number of us 'Slant-Sixers' there :D .

:D Hey, that's great! Now let's pray for sunny, warm weather, and what they heck, while we're at it, let's throw in a wish for $1.00 a gallon gaoline to start off the Summer 'Cruise Night' season, followed by Exxon/Mobil, BP/Amoco, et al, going flat broke by the end of June 2003 :P

Okay, well, let's at least hope for nice weather

I'll be there for sure... can't wait. The weather down here is really nice, no humidity, no rust on the cars, they all look like they are in real good shape.
Well i'll be back up there in no time... looking forward to meeting you this weekend.

:P So far, no change in Sunday's forecast for around here. I hope those overpaid weather guys are right. If it does rain, then I'm s.o.l., because I can't make the rain date  I look forward to these shows, it's my chance to get out with my car, enjoy it, enjoy seeing other cars, talk with other car owners, and for far too few hours, do something I enjoy, instead of something I would love to get the 'H' out of :x, my so-called job.
