I have a 73 valiant with an 904. If i were to acquire a post 75 a-833od would my crankshaft accept the proper pilot bearing? |

You'll have to check the crank. It's probably drilled, but may not be finish reamed to size. If it's not finish reamed Napa use to offer a smaller OD bushing, but the roller pilot bearing used on Dakotas and the like works fine as it fits in the torque converter pocket. |

I have found that all the cranks in the 1973-1976 range have been drilled and finished, it's mostly when the switch to cast cranks occurred they got lazy...but get out the caliper and check the hole size...make sure if it is not finished and you use the NAPA troubleshooter bushing instead of the dakota bushing that you install it with threadlocker red or it will come out on a hard shift....-D.Idiot |

don't forget to prelube bushing before install.....place on thumb,fill with oil , press with finger on top till you see oil seep thru bushing....most amazing thing to see |
