I bought these bucket seats to replace a bench in my '74 Dart Sport. Can any of you help identify what car they came from? |

Judging by the high back with headrest would suggest from the late 60s. Pattern is unlike any I have seen for a Chrysler product possible good ole Gutless Motors. Did you get the frame also? If it fits get them re-uhpolstered and install and enjoy regardless of orgin. Just went thru this installing 97 seabring seats in a 63GT so know that you would do well to reinforce all mounting holes with a 1/4 steel channel frame on the bottom of the floorpan and foundation washers. |

Dave, What you see is what I got, no frames. I'll add a photo of the bottom of the seat. Was told by seller that he bought them being told they came from late 60s Barracuda. Maybe someone at Legendary Auto Interiors will know. Jerry |

Good idea, get a Lengandary catalog as they have photos of all seats they carry broken down by year and application. No frames. any idea what bcame of them? If your skilled imagine would be simple to fabracate frame rails as i did notice they slide on a track which could be a challenging project unto itself. Possible pirate a set off correct model once you have positive id or break out the tape measure and go hunting. Seat bottoms look good, ![]() |

Potential is a good choice of words. Someone told me I got taken when I said the seller "thought" the seats were from a Barracuda. The point is, my son was interested in just finding buckets that "look" like they are from the same era as his '74 Dart Sport. He says they feel comfortable. I think these will do fine, once they are re-covered. You're right, though, the rails might be a bit of a challenge. If I can pinpoint exactly what car they are from, it will be a lot easier. Anyone else want to take a guess? Might not even be Mopar. Jerry |

That would probably be your easiest ticket to getting some clues. I have a few mopar part# books, or alternatively you could call dealers up. |

You ain't gonna like what I have to say, but....... With that "map pocket" on the backside of the backrest, and the round finger-groove backrest release, it looks kind of reminescent of an AMC seat. Maybe early 70's vintage. But I'm not an expert by any stretch. Roger |
